Real TV is thrilled to reveal that MORTIDO, the latest play by Angela Betzien will be presented as a co production with Belvoir Theatre and STSA in 2015. Directed by Melbourne Theatre Company Associate Director, Leticia Caceres and starring the legendary Colin Friels, this play promises to be RealTV’s most thrilling and ambitious work to date.

When word hits the streets that La Madre is dying, Monte, a blue blood son of high society sees his chance to take the throne as the Snow King of Sydney. But who will he take with him down El Camino de la Muerte? Jimmy, his wife’s prodigal brother? Or Grubbe, the cop who wants his head on the block?
Mortido is a break-neck ride from the dirt-poor barrios of Chilpancingo to the hipster hub of Kreuzberg; from the edge of the Amazon; to the café-lined streets of Paddington; from the piss troughs of a CBD nightclub; to the pho-infused backstreets of Cabramatta. And Death is always just around the corner.
